Dear All,
We would like to announce our resignation from Fox News in Amman. Although we never actually worked for your organization, we helped for the past three years in facilitating your work in the Middle East. We base our decision on moral issues. We can no longer work with a news organization that claims to be fair and balanced when you are so far from that. Not only are you an instrument of the Bush White House, and Israeli propaganda, you are war mongers with no sense of decency, nor professionalism. You have crossed all borders and red lines.
An Arab mother cries over the death of her child very much like an American and Israeli mother. Arab blood is not cheap, and we are not barbarians. You ought to be more responsible and have more decency when you take one side against the other. You have a role to play and a responsibility to shoulder for the sake of your very naive viewers. Throughout the three years we worked with you, and helped you, we thought you would develop a degree of respect [for] people in this part of the world. But the disdain and blatant one-sided coverage of all Mideast conflicts only highlights your total lack of humanity and bias toward Israel.
Your lack of professionalism has made you a [source] of ridicule throughout the world. Your inexperienced anchors with their racist comments are not only a shameful scar on the American Media, they simply represent state run Television networks in countries you despise in the Middle East. Finally, our decision again is based on moral and professional basis and from now on we will no longer help in any Fox related matters.
Serene Sabbagh
Jomana Karadsheh

Wow! These two journalists are making a very forceful statement. I doubt this will have any actual impact on Fox’s coverage but one can hope.
UPDATE: The media professional web resource Media Bistro has picked up the story, reporting that:
"Sabbagh appeared on FNC, including The O’Reilly Factor, last November after the Jordanian hotel blasts. This April blog entry on FOXNews.com identifies Karadsheh as a "Jordanian producer for Fox." Update: 6:56pm: "Karadsheh has been Fox’s producer inside the Saddam trial," a tipster adds. Karadsheh has also worked for CNN, as recently as last week in Baghdad."

You know what Batir, all those pro-Israel mercenaries out here and in other blogs maintained by people sympathetic to the Arab causes are no more than what I described above: mercenaries. They are part of the pro-Israel propaganda machine that has taken the internet as just a new front in their fight for the so-called “God’s Chosen People” and their racist political creation. They especially enjoy the crap they write because it puts $$$ in their pockets. They are bought with Israeli $$$ just like most of the politicians of this world are.
There is no way to enlighten or help them unless you can figure out how to put $$$ in their pockets.
This is a fantastic move because it includes the great component of sacrifice. The journalists may have lost a source of income but gained magnificant self respect.
AS for that Mike character who was sarcastic in his comment, It seems this guy needs new enlightment with the meaning of the word “dignity”. Any one to help him?
Speaking of Muslims and journalism….
Google Video is showing “Obsession,†a film about radical Islam’s war with the west. The film focuses heavily upon Muslim propaganda, links between radical Islam and Nazism, and the role that Arab media plays in promoting extremism.

I suggest that anyone who wants to watch it download download the Google Video Player first, start the film and pause it after the first few seconds and let it load and “buffer†for about 10 or 15 minutes. The quality isn’t the greatest, but it is definitely an interesting film. I havent’ seen the final scenes, but they are supposed to be among the best parts.
A very revealing 77 minutes.
I’m quitting al-Jazeera. I’m tired of their nonstop anti-American, anti-Israeli, Arabs-can-do-no-wrong propaganda.
Yes, I’m quitting. Even though I’ve never actually worked for their organization.
Don’t try and stop me.
Although I rarely agree with what they spew, when I watch the news on TV, I sometimes tune into FOX. The guests on their shows sometimes include Arabs in senior government positions and I am always interested in hearing what they have to say.
I do think this “resignation” will never amount to anything constructive.
Good for them. We need more people like them in this line of work!
They *actually* believed Fox when it said it was fair and balanced? Such poignant innocence.
Clap, clap, clap… …or how else does one write APPLAUSE!!!?
and I’ll quit watching Fox News although I never did !
However their statement is so true. I can’t believe how unprofessional Fox News is. they are way much more biased than al-JAzeera.
This is typical of all the double talk that comes out of Al-jizz and other ME news sources. One thing is said in English and another whole story … same story mind you … is portrayed totally different in Arabic.
We are resigning but we never worked for you.
That’s it I’m quitting working for Al-Jizz although I never worked for them 😉
