Here is some genius reporting coming at you all the way from Alarabiya.net. This picture, which shows what appears to be youths celebrating Halloween, was chosen for an article that discusses devil worship in Bahrain. [Click on image to enlarge] The caption for this photo reads: "A group of devil worshipers in one of the European countries [File photo]." مجموعة من "عبدة الشيطان" في إحدى دول أوروبا It seems Alarabiya needs to hire a couple of fact-checkers. This is outrageous! If I was among those in the picture, I would sue Alarabiya, as it seems, at least according to their logic, anyone who wears a costume is a devil worshipper. Scandalous indeed! |
lol, this is really funny yet so sad and ridiculous. I wonder if anyone here saw their tv ad on their channel where in it they have a team of fact checkers who do their best to verify information before airing it, this obviously seems to be far from the truth.
Oh me…this reminds me of the “Satanic Panics” here in the U.S. in the 1980’s. Every rock and roll band that’s ever played a note got accused of being satanists. The most outlandish rumors you ever heard were passed around. It made for some great laughs.
Peace.
omg im laughing so hard right now. this is too funny. i would see something like this on the onion. where did they get this pic from? im wondering if they really are a group of devil worshipers or not, because if they are not that is so unprofessional, and again, is a story and pic that belongs in the onion.
Perhaps their readers are not familiar with with the customs and traditions of Halloween.Personally,I think it’s a rather silly “holiday,” but an essentially harmless one.
Are there really devil worshippers in Bahrain?
oh no!
thanks for fixing, now i know where my grandmother get these ideas from,
Dear Sabri,
I have just re-uploaded the photo. Sorry about that. Mental Mayhem has been down for a couple of days. I’m now in the process of restoring some missing images.
