Today is the last day for voting for ‘Best Middle East or Africa Blog.’ While it looks pretty clear I won’t pull out an upset, I’d really appreciate your vote. For my coalition of the willing, please click the white vote box on the left and follow the prompts.

Yeah speaking of surprises, unless I missed them, how come there are no Iranian weblogs nominated? There are tons of English weblogs with connections to Iran out there (be it they are written by an Iranian or not). Of course that doesn’t take away anything from Natasha, whom I voted for twice, and other nominees. Oh well, we have are own competition!
Yes. We were really surprised and still not certain why legends like Subzero Blue and Mahmood’s Den did not make the final cut. Speculation on that matter abounds. Their sites have been inspirations. [Some comments at the voting site are describing the competition as geared toward the ‘right wing.’ Who knows what that’d mean to the likes of MMM and Mahmood.]
We are glad that this blog, along with Chan’ad, another of the blogs in the ‘inner circle’ of blogging friends, made it onto the list, even if neither finishes first.
Natasha puts so much hard work into this blog. So many new readers have come and so many friends have been made through it that all the effort has more than been repaid. So it really is wonderful just to see her efforts recognized.
Luai,
That is so sweet;-) Thank you for the vote of confidence. Yes I’m very honored to be nominated. I really never expected it.
Natasha,
No matter what the outcome of the voting is, I still think Mental Mayhem is the BEST Middle East or Africa Blog. I am sure you are honored just by having been one of the nominated blogs. Keep up the fantastic work!
Best Wishes,
Luai
