A letter from Abu Atef

I got this by e-mail and I thought it was hilarious! (thanks Lana).

A few thoughts from Abu Atef

For those who are not familiar with my native language, here is the translation:

A letter from the illiterate Abu Atef in Germany:

How are you woman?

How are the kids and how is your mom?

I’m hearing rumors that you are fooling around

When I come home I’m gonna slaughter you

Dubai’s museum

The museum's entrance

I was very impressed with the Dubai Museum on our visit last week. It was very fascinating to see how with the small amount of actual culture this city has how they managed to come up with a top notch exhibit, definitely the best museum I have seen in the Middle East.

If you are planning a visit to Dubai anytime soon, make sure to pay this place a visit. It’s located in the monumental Fahidi Fort, right in the middle of the city with modern buildings built all around it. One thing I recommend is the visual exhibit of the development of Dubai, detailing its history from when it is sole industry was pearl diving right up through its position as a world business and tourist destination.

Wedding anniversary

Standing outside the chapel on Mt. Nebo

Today is our one-year anniversary.

I can’t believe how time flew by so quickly. It was just the other day that we were running around trying to take care of all the wedding preparations! I remember back then how extremely stressed out I was about the big day. I was worried about everything: my dress, my weight, the flowers, the wedding cards, the travel preparations, you name it. But it worked out perfectly.

Well, we made it and the wedding turned out absolutely beautiful, definitely the happiest day of my life. Happy anniversary hubby! You complete me.

When we first got started on all of this web blogging business it all began with the wedding website. Those of you who have seen it already can take a peek again. Those that haven’t might find it interesting. It was Jeff’s early and first "web" project.

He is putting up scans "within the week," he says of some of the professional photos taken at the ceremony. For now there are tons of fantastic amateur photos to peruse. Some new video "might" make it as well he says. Keep checking and please sign our guest book if you do take a moment to stop by ๐Ÿ™‚

For all the bloggers out there, take the test. It is actually quite entertaining, especially when you are bored out of your skull at the work place.
