Lebanese photojournalist, Layal Najib was killed by an Israeli strike on Sunday. She was only 23. This is just horrendous. Najib is yet another innocent victim of the Israeli collective punishment of Lebanon. Why did she have to perish at such a young age? This is an image Layal took while covering the invasion. It was published on Friday by AFP. The caption read: "A destroyed residential building in one of Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Israel was amassing thousands more reservists on the Lebanese border to
stage ground incursions aimed at destroying Hezbollah positions,
warning it would not rule out a full-scale invasion despite mounting
calls for a ceasefire.(AFP/Layal Najib)"

You are grossly mistaken in your use of the phrase “collective punishment.” This is not collective punishment, this is what happens when terrorists hide behind civilians. Dead civilians are great PR for the terrorists, don’t you know that?
I wish you would stop calling Israel’s strikes against terrorists “collective punishment.” If this is collective punishment, then Israel is doing a very bad job of it, by warning the civilians beforehand and giving them time to evacuate before they strike. What other country in the world would do that?
It sickens me that in this world the only way to put a stop to idiots like Hezbollah is to kill innocent people. But we all know why, if some of us where not so obsessed with blaming it all on the disinterest of everyone else:
http://www.theneweditor.com/index.php?/archives/3747-Blame-the-Terrorists,-not-Israel.html
This is just the straw that broke the camels back, not some stupid assed over reaction to a “minor” act. And I have even read one article recently quoting your own @$@$#@ leaders as saying, in private, what they can’t say in public, that they hope Israel doesn’t stop, because Lebanon can’t stop or control these insane lunatics themselves. These kinds of people are not idiots. They offer an impossible choice, shoot your neighbor in hope that you kill the terrorist, or let the terrorist kill your neighbor anyway. How the hell would Israel, having put up with this for decades, respond any differently, without perpetuating the constant back and forth attacks, random murders and endless war? Someone “please” give me some answer that doesn’t involve, “If they respected us **our** terrorists wouldn’t be doing this.”, because its Bullshit!!! Terrorists don’t give a damn about anyone’s existence of freedom but themselves, that’s what makes them terrorists, not official military organization, who are expected to at least “try” to abide by some standards and can be court marshalled or shot when they fail to meet them. Hezbollah have not standards, not requirements to serve the people, no desire to act in the best interests of anyone but themselves and are not answerable to *anyone*. So, they shoot at their so called enemies from inside the cities of innocent people, then cry, “I dare you to do something about it!!”
If **you** gave a shit about what was really going on, Lebanon would be taking care of this problem for itself, by beating every stupid shit that claimed to belong to it to death with the nearest convenient baseball bat or plumbing pipe, then telling the rest, “This is what you get for trying to send *our* country into war with our neighbors!” Once again, everyone wants to whine about how its someone else’s fault and the pissed off attackers are “evil and/or over reacting”, while they hide in their churches, temples and mosques, praying for some miracle to solve what “they” allowed to come into existence.
If I get banned for saying this, I don’t care at this point. I am tired of people in every damn country, including the US, refusing to see the truth that these things happen because the peace lovers lack a backbone or willingness to stand up and say enough, while the war makers spend every waking moment aquiring new weapons or plotting the next offense against humanity, fully aware that the peace lovers won’t lift a damn finger to stop them. I once watched part of LA burn down, because less than 100 people rioted, in a neighborhood with probably 10,000 people in it. Where were all of them? In church or at home, watching 100 idiots burn down the town, while praying that “someone else” would solve the problem.
Well, someone is now actively trying to solve the problem. Their doing it with guns and bombs, because they don’t have local support or the power of the communities own words to declair and end to it. People are dying because of it. How is this “their” fault, more than the 10,000 people that stood and watched a few idiots fire the rockets in the first place? Its “everone’s” fault. You want a peaceful solution, go back 2,000+ years. You want a relatively bloodless one, **stop letting these kinds of people pull this crap in your own cities**.
The truth hurts, live with it and do something to stop it, or do something half way useful to the people that will die as a result of doing nothing and start digging graves. Those are the only real choices. Everything else is just excuses for why its someone else’s problem and someone else’s fault.
Sorry, but I am just getting a bit fed up with seeing 1% of the world screw the other 99% and everyone claim they can’t do anything about it because “those other people”, meaning some % of the 99% who are saying the same thing about the complainers, are somehow the only ones responsible. Its like watching two people argue over who got to a chicken first, and thus whose fault it was that the a dog snatched it off the plate and ran off with it. Only, in this case, people are dying because if this this stupid argument, when they should be collectively chasing the @#$@#$ dog.

Worried… do you believe anything you watch on TV? Do you buy any story you’re told? Do you believe that all what Israel is doing is just to return the 2 soldiers? Even though, that would prove that the lives of 2 soldiers who are being trained to join the violent Israeli army are more important than the lives of hundreds of Lebanese civilians who were killed by Israelis. How unjust is that?
Dont you know Arabs dont bleed, they dont suffer? They just die. I know, I watch CNN.
God rest her soul.
“She’s not an American citizen, she’s not an Israeli civilian. Why do you expect anyone to care? ”
Neither does Mr. Nasrallah care; isnt he too saying’ If all the universe came, we will not return the two soldiers!”
Poor the Lebanese people! they are the innocent victims .
Hi!

She was young. It’s one of the very old horrors of war.
She’s not an American citizen, she’s not an Israeli civilian. Why do you expect anyone to care?
