Iran sees ‘Zionist’ link to Jordan attacks
LONDON (IranMania) — Iran said it suspected Israel was behind the suicide attacks in Amman, even though Jordanian officials have blamed the bombings on militants linked to Iraq-based Al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, said AFP. "The explosions in Jordan are a suspicious matter. Most probably the Zionist regime (Israel) was behind them," Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters.

I’m really not in the mood to hear another genius Iranian declaration. Can’t these people just shut up once and for all. Didn’t they learn from their previous calls to "Wipe Israel off the map." Geez!
conspiracies…well…I personally don’t like them but I have to honest here and say that much of our modern history has been riddled with them. our situation as it stands is not entirely are fault. from the sykes-picot agreement, to establishing Israel, to dividing the Arab world into little pieces with an utter disregard for religion and ethnic divides, to arab leaders. the list is endless. so to the layman arab everything is suspicious.
taking the reaction of sajida’s confession recently…well the fact that the mukhabarat is known for torturing people to make a confession is as widely known and accepted as for instance the fact that the Earth is round. so obviously the first thing that comes to mind is a whole bunch of questions about whether its authentic or not. this comes mostly because many do not want the state to pull a fast one on them, they want to see actual justice.
as for zionist conspiracies, obviously not everything can be attributed to that, certainly not this crime here. but at the same time they have played a large role historically when it comes to regional events and we cannot brush that aside. many times these plots are revealed years later. anyone with a brief knowledge of the region can count at least 3 major ones.
Oh please Don Cox. Just like I (for fear of speaking for others) am accepting the fact that Arabs need to have more evidence supporting their claims of a zionist conspiracy, you should stop crying ‘holocaust’ and ‘anti-semitism’ everytime you get your period. Similarly, just like I am trying to cope with the reality that pre-67 borders are pretty much out of the question, you should get over the Nazi era – its over, Jews made it!
OK, just a couple of things:
1. It’s duct tape, not duck tape.
2. It’s funny how the more things seem different, the more they are really alike: The Iranian officials can’t seem to waste any opportunity to blame everything on Israel. This kind of babble really hurts their credibility. The Israel sympathisers can’t seem to waste any opportunity to turn any statement against the State of Israel to be one advocating the killing of those who adhere the Jewish faith. That also hurts their cause. We’ve had enough of both sides.
Well said Abu Sinan: “Both sets of generalisations, stereotypes and the such are put forth by those with other agendas.”
In the word of the great Rodney King: “Why can’t we all just get along?”
I think people in the Middle East need to wake up and take responsibility. On the other hand, I think the comments by poster Cox here are out of line. The idea that all Arabs, or even most Arabs want a new holocaust is nonsense.
Both sets of generalisations, stereotypes and the such are put forth by those with other agendas.
Once people become obsessed with the idea of killing Jews, nothing will satisfy them short of a holocaust. That applies to the top Nazis, to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, to many Palestinians and to the new President of Iran.
Sure … but first lets allow them to be a nuclear power. Can you imagine what they would be saying then!
Funny Iyas
NAtasha, I totally agree with you. Ignorant people like Roussan make it worse for the majority of us, because news media love these kinds of conspiracey theory stories coming from the Middle East.
Again, people like these should have their freedom of speech take away from them. Any one got duck tape?
you two should talk more often in person or over the phone 😉
When some Jordanians like Nariman Roussan publicly embraces the most infamous conspiracy theory the Arab world: blaming Israel for everything, then the press, naturally will eat this up with a spoon!!
I’m detecting a spin in coverage. I just read the latest AP story on Jordanians “mulling” the video broadcast of this woman. Apparently: “Many Jordanians, however, expressed doubt al-Rishawi’s confession was real or that she was even involved in the plot.”
I’m not in Jordan, but I’d doubt this is accurate. Am I wrong? Are people really thinking this woman is just a patsy. It all fits neatly: Al Qaeda says there was a woman and then they find her and she lays it all out pretty much as has been revealed over recent days. I know conspiracy theories have legs in the ME, often because they’re true, but come on.
Things have been covered pretty fairly thus far, but I see this “many Jordanians” comment and saw the article in the NY Times the other day laying out the Zionist plot bits. It makes me worry about a spin away from the truth.
