Inspired by And Far Away, here are some of my confessions:
- I’m very clumsy. I bump into things, drop almost everything I carry and I’m always zoned out
- I’m a very bad driver and have been in a number of minor accidents. I quit driving after I got engaged.
- I can’t sew. My mom used to take care of my missing buttons, now my husband does.
- I only learned to cook last year.
- I used to speak really fast, causing me to stutter. As I grew older, I learned to slow down a bit.
- I quit playing the violin after ten years for no real reason.
- I hardly do any exercise and I keep gaining weight.
- I’m extremely hard on myself. If I was born in the right era I’d have been a self-flagellator.
- I have no sense of direction whatsoever. After 15 months in Doha, I can still get lost in our neighborhood.
- I can’t seem to get enough of watching movies.
- I’m very unorganized and can be messy sometimes.
- I’m an insomniac and have been since I was thirteen.
- I’m very impatient with a very short attention span.
- I never blush.
Ok. There you have it. I would understand if, after reading this, you’d never want to visit this blog again!
Here is my confession.
For years I have tried to find something wrong with me. And I can’t.
No, seriously, Natasha’s “confessions” are a form of self-flagellation. And they are totally not fair.
There is day and there is night. If one is to make a list of confessions of negative qualities (as they see them) then they should also list the positive qualities.
Natasha is one of the sweetest people I know in Dullsville. And I have never seen her drop anything, bump into anything, or hurt anyone. Except when she doesn’t make me tea in the office Canteen (grrrr…)
Okay, had to say that.
As for Farooha, hey there’s a long line behind me waiting to slap you silly. Thanx for the invite, heheh.
Just kidding…
wow, i think we should all do this on our bloggs. very interesting stuff
Courageous of you to confess to all this!
Sorry, Jareer can’t help .
To me it sounds as though all the other items are related to your insomnia, which is related to your weight. If you are overweight a bit, you will snore, and this perhaps causes the insomnia in conjunction with not exercising enough. By the way, don’t exercise in the evening because it will raise your metabolism and that will keep you awake at night. Exercise in the morning or before 6 PM (1800 hours). So, sleep on your side so you do not snore as much, and lose some weight so you get some sleep.
Why would you folks want to blush? This way you can lie easier 😉
Oh you played the violin? Cool. Do you still have it in Doha?
Oh my gosh. here’s a shocker,
I have so much in common with you!
The first five ones, are hands down, soooo me! (I still got a little more work to do on the way I talk, though, *sigh*)
I hardly do any exercise despite subscriptions to various gyms, health magazines, diet centers.. oh the list goes miles long 🙁
I have no sense of direction, either. I find myself asking for directions at a campus I’ve been attending for two years now.
I’m extremely messy.
And oh my gosh, slap me silly…this one is just too much.. I NEVER blush either.
I’m not sure I’ll ever know why.. mama says it’s because I’m samoora, but I doubt that has anything to do with it! No fair!
Alright, I suddenly feel down 🙁 Choclate, anybody?
Boy. I sure wish I knew all of this before 😉 Kidding. I’m kidding! Relax 🙂
Hahaha, that was interesting to read! I share this one “I used to speak really fast, causing me to stutter. As I grew older, I learned to slow down a bit. “, but I guess I still need a few more years to learn to slow down…
